Finding a tailor? Good luck.

💵 Cash-only business

The tailoring industry is one of the most inefficient markets in the U.S., with no standardization of communication. Currently, shoppers’ next best alternative is returning their items, and retailers’ next best alternative is reverse logistics companies.

Because we are building a platform to communicate orders with tailors and are building a network of tailors, we know exactly where and when to direct consumers. As of now, no other company is building this network in the U.S.

our mission

When Kaci was a child, most of her clothes were frilly, Victorian-inspired hand-me-downs from her cousin that were two sizes too big. Knowing that the clothes weren't going to help her blend in in suburban Georgia, Kaci taught herself how to alter her clothes by watching YouTube videos. This childhood practice caused Kaci to develop a strong interest in clothing utilization and ultimately led her to build Cimu.

Cimu is the first step.

What We Do

Reduce Reverse Logistics

Our alterations and network of tailors ensure that only clothing that were damaged or didn’t fit your consumers’ style end up in your reverse logistics pipeline. We handle all potential returns that were caused by ill-fit.

Improve Customer Experience

Cimu can turn garments from something customers like into something customers love. By allowing your customers to tailor their clothes to perfection, we’re helping them feel more empowered and confident wearing your apparel.

Encourage Sustainbility

By making sure clothes successfully enter customers’ closets, we’re ensuring that clothes don’t end up in landfills. After all, clothes belong in closets, not landfills, and no one throws away something that fits them perfectly.

Empower Local Communities

Our network of tailors include community members. Many don’t have the economic means to create a tailoring shop but have sewing capabilities that rival those with storefronts. By employing former unhoused folks, refugees, and stay-at-home moms, we’re empowering the local community through economic means.
